Bayview’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Nancy Weinbeck was appointed as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, becoming the ninth individual to serve in that role in the 58-year history of Bayview.
CliftonLarsonAllen Executive Search was retained to undertake a national search for the best person to lead Bayview. With the successful completion of Bayview’s $57M investment to completely re-envision Bayview, the focus was on finding a leader who understands the organization’s unique culture and can work with residents to enhance and grow the warm and welcoming environment Bayview provides to residents, staff, and greater community.
From a field of over 200 candidates and through an intensive interview process, Nancy clearly rose to the top, demonstrating both the technical skills and experience needed to successfully lead Bayview. Nancy, who has a B.A. Degree in Anthropology and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management, with additional academic background in gerontology and clinical psychology, has spent over 25 years in the field of aging, the last 18 with Bayview. Her most recent position before becoming CEO was as Director of Residential Operations.
Mary Cordts, who retired, has devoted her entire career to developing and operating services for seniors. CEO at Bayview since March of 2012, Mary worked with the Board to lead Bayview through the extensive reinvestment in Bayview’s future. Her leadership and dedication helped ready Bayview to serve Seattle for decades to come. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mary Cordts and wish her well in her retirement.
