Bayview is a high-rise Life Plan community with 360° views that occupies a city block in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle.  Founded in the early 1960’s as a non-profit, Bayview’s mission is to serve the well being of its residents.  The community consists of a 10-story tower with 127 residential apartments on the upper floors and 44 Assisted Living units currently occupy the second and third floors of the tower. A three-level healthcare center was added on the south side of the campus with a 50-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, along with a wellness center and Intergenerational Children’s Center.

In 2014 the Bayview Board, embarked on a master plan process to reposition the aging campus.  The goal was to assess and create a long-range campus strategic plan that would strengthen the campus and its community.

The transformation includes even more amenities, including three upscale dining options, a fitness center and pool, an updated entry, and outdoor terraces. Plus, a health service expansion and the addition of a memory care wing.

We’re grateful to all who were involved in this project. Thank you to Mary Cordts, who served Bayview as CEO from 2012 to 2019 and who was key to advancing this project from inception to completion, and to the Bayview Board, and most importantly to all residents and staff who persevered through the entire renovation phase.
