Queer: Then & Now

This marketing event is geared towards prospective residents. We believe Bayview offers a preview for what healthy aging among the LGBTQ+ community of elders can look like. We are enriched by many residents who identify as LGBTQ+, some single, some married, some couples. They are actively engaged in resident life, some are engaged in positions of leadership in our Residents’ Council, others are participating in as well as leading a variety of committees and programs.

  • Do you know younger people (perhaps grandchildren) who call themselves “queer?”
  • Are you LGBTQQIAAP2S+?
  • Do you wonder what all those letters stand for?
  • Do you long for the days when people kept their sexual orientations a secret?
  • Do you know what cisgender means? Or gender-fluid?
  • Would you like a safe place to learn about these things and more?

Celebrate PRIDE WEEK by joining Cherry Johnson (834) and a panel of residents on Wednesday, June 22nd at 3:30PM in Albertson for a conversation, presentation, and panel discussion on all things “queer.”
